Types of Skin Wrinkles I

Thursday, May 20th, 2010

skin wrinklesWrinkles are unwanted and unavoidable. Several factors contribute to their formation and various types of wrinkles.

Types of wrinkles

Dermatologists have several classifications between these: its depth, its origin and in their order of appearance. This is one of the major classifications for the causes of wrinkles:

Gravitational wrinkles

These wrinkles are caused by gravity. The force that keeps us on the floor and keeps the earth revolving around the sun on our skin also acts gently pulling downward.

Our genes and skin type determine the resistance that our skin has to oppose the force of gravity. These lines are: the marionette lines (from the mouth down). These lines are considered easy to correct with procedures like plastic surgery (face lift), fillers or paralytic agents.

Dynamic Wrinkles

These wrinkles are caused by the movement of the muscles in the face. Every time you face to smile puckered by the sun, stress and so on. we are creating patterns that can be converted into lines and wrinkles.

The repetitive movement is slowly making a mark visible on the skin. They become more noticeable by the loss of elastin and collagen in the skin. These are the wrinkles on the forehead.
